About
You can follow regular updates of my work social media
I am Tracey-Anne Sitch, a watercolour artist who has painted natural history (primarily British wildlife, for which I have a special passion), for as long as I can remember. I have a degree in zoology, and have worked as a commercial artist and wildlife illustrator, as well as freelancing in the animation industry.
I enjoy working in tight detail (not easy in this challenging medium) and in differing styles that vary from simple portraits of the subject on a plain background, to elaborately patterned ‘frame-breaking’ paintings, inspired by the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau artists of the past.

Composition, a strong narrative, and illustrating the character and behaviour of my subjects are more important to me than realism. I’m also keen to raise awareness of conservation issues in mywork where possible.
Now living in the beautiful county of Monmouthshire, I exhibit in a number of local galleries, and in
wildlife art exhibitions nationwide
